Weekend Fun!

Saturday morning i had to get up at 8:30 to go to my dental appointment AGAIN, only to find out that it was just a 2 minute check up. (what a waste of an extra half an hour of sleep) Then had work at 10 for 4 hours which went by so slowly and boring too i might add. No1 "eye appealing" ever comes by St Lukes foodcourt. It's like the hot guys don't need to eat! lol Anyways after my work i decided to go to Dressmart to hand in my CVs. (Not to self: 5 CV's are not enough) Then decided to go see people that worked there. Daniel Gu if u're reading this! Start going to work!! lol Then got home to realise that in less than 2 hours I would be going out so tried to get some sleep before having to get ready. Don't you just hate it when you're about to fall asleep then people wake u up which means you have to spend another 5-10 mins trying to get back to sleep. Instead of wasting the time i decided to just get up and take a "toughen up pill". How hard is it to stay up till 3? Bert Ruiz stays up for a whole day studying for his exams, it can't be too hard. (I was totally wrong)

I went out at 9pm with Linda and Dominique to town, first few hours was totally fine. We were dancing our night away till 1am in the morning which then began to take a toll on me. Finding it so hard to stay awake I was persistant to go home, however not wanting to kill my two friends night i decided to stay. It got till about 2ish till we decided to go home. Once i got home i totally knocked out. I realised Clubbing isn't as fun when it's not with a group. We pretty much spent our whole time in Sixth Sense which isn't my fav club but i must say, that's where all the filipinos go! I've never seen that many filipinos in my life! lol Some of them were pretty good looking too! lols Tanned asians = pretty hot lmao however the ratio of boys n girls was not even! it was like 2:1! And there were heaps of old perverts roaming around inside the club n the young ones waiting outside! They should make it a rule that guys over 28 shouldn't be allowed in!!

Woke up this morning and spent the whole time recovering from last night, watched heaps of movies (thanks bert!) such as Dance Flick and Hannah Montana The Movie! LOL
Dance flick was the most boringest comedy i've ever seen. The waynes brothers are suppose to be funny!! wat happened?! *two thumbs down* Hannah montana was a bit more interesting, (better than i expected) however I still don't get how the whole Miley being two different ppl works cuz its so obvious that they are the same person just different hair colour! It's stupid how people in her school can't figure it out. Maybe it's just the Americans because i swear if someone as famous as she is eg. Usher and he was in my school but just with long hair! I'd so figure it out! It's a bit dumb to be honest, however I did like a song that was used in the movie "Bless the Broken Road" by Rascal Flatts. Quite a slow touching love song =)

Hung out with Andy, Jacinta, Jynize and bubba today. That baby is one cheeky bugger! I spent the whole time playing with it and it dares to throw tantrums whenever he feels like it! Screaming on top of his lungs when people are trying to talk and not taking any attention to him. He's lucky he's 11 months old and major cute so I don't hold it against him. Trying to get a 11 month year old's love and affection is harder than i thought! He won't even give me a kiss! =( lol but however i did manage to get it to smile and giggle! Once it hit around 9:30 he started to get cranky cuz i think it was getting tired so we dropped him and jynize home. Then we all went home too. =( pretty boring day! Just going to keep watching all my new movies! Over and out!

Boring day!!

Having less than 7 hours of sleep, i had to get up at 9:50am this morning to go to my dental appointment, people who know me well would know that Holidays is when I turn nocturnal. Having to get up this morning was such a challenge, I was driving half asleep (a major no no). After getting there, my dentist played around with my braces and put elastic bands into my mouth, (sooo uncomfortable) which cost my parents more than 100 bucks. Can you believe that it costs so much just to put elastic bands into my mouth??? I swear, my dentist has been doing my braces for like 4 years now and I swear its cost my parents $7000+ for the whole 4 years! He likes to take his time and find things to do with my teeth which in my opinion is totally unnecesary. How hard is it to shove elastic bands into a mouth? He even got me to do one side by myself because i have to change them regularly, which to be honest i'm not even wearing at the moment because it not only seals shut my teeth but it also looks hideous! Luckily my braces are off by december (atleast he says so anyway). I totally do not recommend my orthedontist.

Coming back from the dentist i went straight into bed and slept for a few hours and got up to finish my 3rd Dvd called "Saved!". Not as interesting as my other two dvds, it was about a Christian school in which one of the girl gets pregnant and her boyfriend ends up being gay? and tries to hide the fact that she's pregnant and manages to do so for like the whole 6-7 months? She then meets some other guy and her friend gets jealous so tries to frame her for tagging on school grounds. One of those bitchy movies in which obviously truth comes out and her friend gets into trouble. But what amazed me was how calm and cool her mum was about her being pregnant because I swear asian parents would pull out the stick and beat the S*** out of their kids. Funny thing is i remembered my mum saying something about if i ever got pregnant that i should tell her, her comfort conversation started off as: "I may get angry at you, but in the end i'll still support you and we'll deal with it." Like that helps? I'll get angry at u, but after the telling off we'll deal with it? She forgot to mention how long she'd be angry for!

My afternoon went around pretty slow, talked to Bert for a while (my entertainment), then i Tried to find someone to go out with! Everyone seemed to be busy at work. I've come to realise that these holidays aren't going to be as fun as i thought it would! All my friends are pretty much on Full Time jobs which means most days I'm just going to be home and bored for the next few months!! =( I also realised how poor i'm going to be these holidays if i don't find a job soon! I'm going to be opening a charity soon, please feel free to donate money to the poor (JEN) hehe.
Laters for now! xx

Movie Madness!!

Okay after my exams, I really havent had much to do since all my friends are all busy with work!! (Which reminds me, I really need a full timeish job) So yesterday I thought i'd go to Video Easy to take movies out to occupy me for the next few days. While walking through many aisles, i was looking for the more "Heart Touching" type of dvds, which unfortunately not so much new ones out. I managed to pull out "The Bucket List" after hearing that it is a pretty good movie and the actors are famous enough for it to be well known. Going through Alphabetical Order I went past "Riding Alone, For thousands of Miles" which i've always come past previous times before but never really took interest in it because it wasn't typical comedy/horror/drama movies i normally take out and it was a chinese story. I stood there looking at the cover and pictures at the back and it seemed like a very sad/touching movie so took that one out along with some Mandy Moore movie (I don't know why but i tend to hire movies that feature her) with the guy who was the little kid on Home Alone movie series. (once such a cute kid, but then good old drugs screwed him up)

Anyways later that day I got bored pretty quickly and randomly picked out a movie. "Riding alone, For thousand of Miles" was my first pick, it was quite confusing to be honest because the main character is Japanese and he went to china to film a performance for his son because his son was sick. So it was partly japanese and chinese. I put on the subtitles and kept watching it, it was basically about a father trying to fix his relationship with his son as well as another father who has never met his son. Trying to reunite the two he went through a lot of effort to find the young boy. He ended up at a small village in china. Looking at the situation that people who live in rural china, makes me appreciate the things i have here at home. Villages not only have to fend for their family but also the whole village. They all work together and share their food with the whole community. Like a big family x100. Poverty is such a big thing in small places in china that it is commonly forgotten because people just assume that Chinese people are so well off, but really they just work very hard for their money. I believe that with help from everyone around the world giving a little each week/month means that poverty will one day not exist. Which is why i think World Vision is such a worthy cause. I promise that when I'm off my stupid vodafone contract that World Vision has my contribution =) But long story short that movie moved me so much I had tears coming down my eyes by the end of it lol

This afternoon I again, had nothing to do. So my next choice was The Bucket List, The bucket list is pretty much a list of things the two men wanted to do before they kicked the bucket (basically means die) because they were dealing with cancer. It was just another movie which basically tried to say that you should value life and live everyday to the fullest. Aparently a survey that asked people if they would want to know when they would die and amazingly enough 96% said they rather not know. Only 4% said that they would want to know when they were going to die! 4% seems such a small number of people. Because I would want to know, so you know how much time u have and you can plan out what you want to do before you die! I wouldn't want to die regretting things that i never got to do! Which got me thinking to the Nickelback song (not sure what the song is called) but the video clip had like numbers on top of peoples heads which symbolised the amount of time they had to live. As the guy walked on the streets he saw all these numbers n didn't know what they standed for, till he saw an old lady being carried out of her apartment into an ambulance, need i carry on? lol If you really want to know what song it is, let me know, ill try find it for you :) But yea, I don't really get why people would rather not know then know. But it did teach me that i have to appreciate everything and everyone around me.

That's basically my past 2 days summed up in one blog , lol yes i realise that it's not a daily blog for the people who r constantly checking for an update. Sorry guys :) Hopefully that was entertaining enough for you guys lol Long story short: The Bucket List and Riding alone are pretty interesting movies, if you do get bored, go check them out =)

What's up with "like"???

Blogs are a great substitute for diaries. I really couldn't be bothered starting a diary not only becuz my mum would probably go snooping through my drawers n go reading through it if i had one but also the fact that I don't tend to stick to it. So since its holidays now, and I'm getting to an age where thoughts just go through my head randomly, blogs are a great way to go i guess.

This morning which i guess i should say yesterday because its 2 in the morning right now, but oh well Sunday 8 November at 10am i got waken up to go to some religious event in which my mum wanted to go to because she said would clear my head of dumb decisions. (cuz she's really against me going to AUT North Shore campus. Long story short: She's totally against it) Before i start my story I must tell you that my mum's religious meetings usually consist of old people/ parents that get together and talk about experiences and chant their prayers. When i was younger, i use to always go with my mum because all the other kids went, but now that i've hit my teenage years, no1 in their right mind rocks up wid their parents anymore. Except me, because my mum has this SHREK personality if you don't do what she says.

Anyways Half awake I rock outta bed slowly to kill time so we don't have to be there for too long n walked out in the most unflattering clothes thinking it was just another one of those meetings, when I get there I find that its an actual event! Like a whole hall of people sorta event! Already late to this event i sat down quickly at the corner and watched as a group of 20+ year old asian people dance to "Hey Mickey" with pom poms. Quiet entertaining to be honest. When they were done, two young kids (17-18 year olds) come out as the spokesperson for the day. One was some Emo looking white boy, and the other an indian girl, I was amazed to see that what once was a very asian religion has become such a multi-cultural one. Anyways back to the point, as they were talking, i sorta dozed off as usual but could hear "like" several times, I watched the girl talk and thought to myself "what is up with people saying LIKE in every sentence?" We've grown up in a era where "LIKE" is part of our vocabulary. I reckon it's hard to take that away from our vocab because LIKE substitutes for Umm or something? I mean, when we talk on MSN or FB or wateva, u never really use LIKE but when u have conversations with friends, i can garanttee you that LIKE comes up so much that it just doesnt go through ur mind when u try to comprehend what someone is saying. Keep watch for that!

Then the rest of my day went like every other day i guess, but one thing i realised as well was when I got home tonight and was listening to my music "Me, Myself and I" by beyonce came on, and i listened to the lyrics, now i know as emo as this sounds, i began to realise that what she says is quite true, well not the whole situation that she's picturing out to be like the whole boyfriend thing but more of:
"Me, myself and I is all i got in the end,
that's what i found out,
and it aint no need to cry,
i took a vow that from now,
on ima b my own best friend"
In the end, it really is down to just you and urself. How many times have we said: Friends Forever and actually are still best friends with that person? how many times have we said forever and it just doesnt turn out to be the way that you expected? I know that people do say: boys come and go, but friends will stay, but really.. do Friends really stay? I mean i get that friends stay longer than boyfriends, but honestly? Can you really say you will stay best friends with someone for the next 10 years or so? when we've reached a point in our lives where everyone is going in their own direction? I reckon the only people you can really trust or depend on r family. Family don't judge you and love you for who you are. Family never leaves. Maybe its just me on a down buzz. anyways I'm off!
